Fun! Reminds me of those classic NG collabs.

Charming. Good sound effects, and it had some cool camera work like the camera spinning a bit along with the chair. Humour was alright, but I feel the main draw is the nice and simple aesthetic.

PenguinPotential responds:

Thanks Dunso! Really appreciate the feedback. I'm working on my writing style currently, so hopefully the next animations will have tighter beats. I'm glad you liked the camera-work! <3

The absolute plebery of this having 2.5 is too much to bear. I'm impressed by the aesthetic and how elaborate it feels. It seems pretty random, but there's a real vibe going on like in all of your work.

horizon-hugger responds:

lol thank you! it's fairly random movements. just an experiment with audio modulated animation to practice effects.

What the fuck. Animators have gotten so good. In a word, satisfying.

kRyy responds:

You just gotta choose the right ones

It's been a long time since I heard music on NG so obviously recorded from a speaker with a phone/headset. You get half a point extra just for that.

MovieMaximum responds:

The thing is that i could have easily just downloaded that music from an website considering that its Kevin Macleod music. But i edited this at night and got so annoyed with this film that i just didn't even care anymore.

Not bad. The sort of overall theme is nothing too new, but nothing bad either. The animation is a little bit stiff, particularily the walking is not your strongest point.

Now to the good parts. Good length, not just a clip and not too dragged out either. Enemies to an extent react and try to defend themselves. There are some funny and interesting kills in here, such as stealing the magazine and knocking a guy out with it. It's not just a stream of grunts being gunned down in the same way, which I think is important. I haven't seen the fading blood effect you use before, and you used a nice effect for the teleportation in the end. You also add a good amount of props to each room.

In the end, if you keep practicing the animation will get better. After that get some self made sprites in there and come up with a unique setting and you're good.

Mark741 responds:

Thanks for the comment m8, walking is indeed not my strong pont (I mentioned in my earlier movies as well) anyway, i'll keep on practicing off course :)

Wow, I'm surprised to see so many old animators still going strong. Some names I haven't seen before doing a real good job too.

Average animation quality was HIGH!
Pretty good variety of settings and fighting styles, as far as madness goes. I think I saw a little good original art in there too.
The flags next to the names were a really cool adition, shows how diverse the madness community really is.
The video was lengthy but not too long.
The music was alright, just not my taste.

So yeah, this was pretty original as far as a collab goes. I've given collabs a lot of hate in the past, but this one is pretty nice. Good job guys.

thanks dunso <3

What really stood out as great to me here was the interesting angles. They just lift it to a completely other level, so great planning there. Really surprised me when the gangster leader (Yui?) spoke. This reminds me a lot of Excel Saga, with the use of strange little side characters, like the army of cops, settings and kind of hyper mood.

One thing though, just my own pet peeve, Japanese names pronounced in English are kind of painful.

Kel-chan responds:

originally I wasnt gonna use the names but then i decided to just because of the terrible dubs most animes have

That's a fun perspective, I liked how you conveyed that the gun is heavy as shit through the animation.

GabrielBarsch responds:

thanks, your reviews mean alot to me ya know, you're my friend since 2008
